This is a small tool that tells you which graphics card your computer is using, and a set of short guides for the cases where a browser cannot answer.
How it finds the answer
Websites can ask the browser which graphics chip it draws with. The browser asks the graphics driver and passes the name on. This site shows you that name, tidied up so it is readable, and nothing else is done with it.
What it cannot do
- Show the video memory. Browsers do not allow it. Here is where to look instead.
- Show every graphics chip in a laptop with two. It shows the one the browser is using.
- Name the exact Apple chip in Safari, which keeps it private.
Found a mistake, or a graphics name that came out wrong? Tell us, with the exact text from the table on the home page.
